RV Travel Tips |
Motorhome Levelling Ramps An easy way to level your motorhome is by using large plastic wedges or ramps under your wheels. Drive up about a foot short of where you are going to park. Set a bubble level on the motorhome floor where you can see it from the driver's position. Note whether just one side needs to go up, or the front or back. Put the ramps under the RV's low wheels (the bubble goes towards the high side) and then drive forward until the bubble is level. Often you will need a combination of left/right and fore/aft leveling. In that case put a ramp hard up against the lowest corner tyre. For the second lowest tyre, put the ramp an inch or two in front of the tyre. Drive forward and see if everything levels out. With experience you will be able to get your motorhome level in no time flat! |
So, if several families own the motorhome, how do you get to use it when you want it? It starts when you place your deposit. At that time you nominate the dates for your first trip in the RV. Naturally you select from the times that are open at that point, but typically there is a lot of choice available, and no surprises. After everyone is "in", then we go back through the owners from the first to fill in the remainder of their time that is available in the first year. The second year is just like the first, only with a "reverse grid". The last one in gets the first choice. It's simple, and it works. |
